Everybody In Pt 1
We often love being part of a family until it's time to roll up our sleeves and contribute. This message tackles a fundamental tension in the Christian life: we're saved by grace, not by our works, yet we're saved FOR works. Drawing from Ephesians 2:8-10, we're reminded that while we didn't earn our way into God's family, our salvation comes with divine purpose. Just as children in a household don't pay rent but still have chores, we as believers have been rescued not just FROM something, but FOR something. Grace isn't opposed to effort—it's opposed to earning. The beautiful truth is that our gifts and talents aren't meant for personal consumption alone; they're designed to build up the body of Christ. We're challenged to examine whether we're treating church like a restaurant where we simply get served, or embracing it as a family on assignment where we actively serve. The call is clear: belonging doesn't cancel responsibility—it creates it. When we step into our roles and serve with the strength God supplies, we grow spiritually while expanding His kingdom. This isn't about working for God's love; it's about working from His love, responding to the acceptance we've already received.
